TEWKS
Happens everywhere but Tewksbury will soon be losing some of its history. This was Clark’s Store when I was a kid, it changed to Lenny & Maria’s years ago but it’s gonna be called…Rubble shortly. Not a real sentimental connection to the place but it has been in the neighborhood all of my life. 1 2 Link to comment

I'm paying for this with my piece of selling my parent's place in Cut and Shoot, Texas. "Thanks Mom & Dad" would have been appropriate but, not that much. 1 1 1 Link to comment

Works great! The local municipality is anal about building inspections, and my garage is a converted carport, with a pedigree to match. So, a free standing carport adjacent to the garage is my plan. They put them at the end of the streets where they grew up. I do find it a little funny that the neighbors (who keep their lawns very well manicured don’t take care of it). I guess they have no connection to the family. (being fairly new people on the street) I believe only one sister is left but she lives a few towns over. Told this story probably one too many times now but he, “Robert” took us neighborhood kids to the beach before going to Vietnam. That’s the only memory I have of him. And I guess that’s why I’ve become the unofficial caretaker of the monument. 4 1 Link to comment
