Absolutely but I didn’t have a Simpson budget

So….  How would you go about cleaning mine?

Google is much smarter then I but I’m thinking a baking soda vinegar paste concoction dabed on the green stuff with a Q-tip & given a bit of time to do it’s thing. Then take a sharp &/or pointed implement & carefully chip away the green slag being carful not to over stress the base metal (back up with needle nose, tweezers or????). Applying more paste as you go. Then progress to a small wire brush again don’t over stress the bits & bobs.
Rubbing alcohol applied with an old toothbrush for non corrosion cleaning.
Contact cleaner for the contacts.

Now disregard the above info & find your answer HERE

Yeah, we had some heavy thunderstorms up here too today, the clouds looked more dramatic while driving home so I scrambled :classic_biggrin: the drone for a shot. It didn’t turn out as I envisioned, but it was ok. :dontknow:

I get to watch (hopefully) a big boom later on this morning. The FD has to monitor blasting operations in town. Not regular duty, an OT detail.

In the mood for a little SIG fun!  The P365 is my daily carry and an absolutely great pistol. The P320 has had some teething issues but mine shoots great.  The P220 is not my favorite but I bought it cheap and anything in 45ACP is fun to shoot.

Oh, how I envy you guys that can walk out to the back 20 or 40 and rip off a bunch of rounds...

My out of state daughter comes to visit in a few weeks. We'll visit the local indoor range then for some Glock fun.

Tim the guy that owns it is no lightweight, he came from an Africa Twin AS (and rode it like it was a dirt bike), he loves it.

You're too tall for that bike you need to sell it to me : ) Joking aside, I had an R80ST in the 90's (same bike with a low fender) and loved it, perfect for the small roads and light duty offroading.

I think we named her wrong. “Zoe” should have been Sunny. She follows the Sun reflection throughout the day.

Ended up selling it.

I still have the payphone and it does work, but since we have no landline anymore, been thinking about a bluetooth module

Again I might be on repeat mode with this one. The old south station had a similar pay phone outside at the edge of the parking area. One old timer was a jokester and he’d call the pay phone when kids were hanging out by it.

Two of the stand out stories were, he lost his gold ring in the puddle next to the phone. He had the kids crawling around in the puddle looking for a ring that wasn’t there. The other story was, he lost his dog and it just so happened there was a dog hanging out with the kids. Not his or their dog. He described “his lost dog” perfectly and asked them to put the phone to the dog’s ear so he could talk to him. They did. :classic_biggrin:

Just finished up installing a new cv axle in the F150. Changed the oil on Sunday in preparation for the UN and found grease all over the left wheel and suspension, torn boot. Noticed a vibration at 75 when I drove the truck last week thought it might have been a tire but the cv joint was to blame. Called the dealer on Monday, they couldn't get the part until Friday and no guarantee they could squeeze it in.  We are leaving for Colorado on Saturday so that wasn't going to work. Rock Auto saved the day, the axle arrived this morning.

Here is the culprit

Wouldn’t have expected that on such a new truck. :(

I think I might have caused the issue. I installed Bilsteins a few months ago.  They are fantastic and I raised the front about 3/4 of a inch, the Bilsteins have five spring settings. Mo better than the stock set up.

That was the first side with lots of fun wrestling out the stock struts. The other side was a breeze with the lessons learned from the driver side install. I don't think it's a coincidence that the cv boot was torn.

I'm pretty sure Ford spent less than $30 on all four shocks on the F150 I had.
