Out And About

Someone asked an AI image generator to draw "an average woman from ?????", where ???? was one of sixteen different states.  The results were interesting: a few were headscratchers, but most seemed to fit conscious and subconscious stereotypes (e.g. Michigan features cherries and snow).  However, I could not stop laughing at the "average woman from Wisconsin," who appears to be suffering from wintertime cheese-madness:

Probably entered the country illegally and had no ID when asked.  Then resisted arrest when refused to follow the instructions of LE.

Nice turn around:classic_biggrin:

And yes, I do have the job of the guy that interviewed me, but it was six years, not five when I took it.

I actually remember what I said in my interview with the Chief when asked a similar question.

Me

“The standard answer would be to have your job someday but, I just want to be part of the team”

He liked it I think, I got the job. ;)

I've got to fess up. I look like one of the 3 end guys. I don't run a Harley. Depending on the time of day I could look like adventure or cruiser.

With little effort you can cross the line, welcome to the world of Harley!

I know two guys (I think they’re friends of William’s friend) that have been trailering their bikes south the last couple years. That would be a perfect trailer to do it!

In 2000ish, I was stationed in Agony, Ga.  and had to attend the small arms weapons instructor course in Quantico.  On my route, was Uwharrie National Forest, so I met up with a few guys I know to hit the trails in the Jeep.  I pulled my little M416 trailer that I sorta customized.  I made a rack that would have a plywood piece that would sit flush with the top of the trailer.  I put door handles on each corner of the plywood for tie downs.  The idea was that I wouldn't have to sleep on the ground when I went alone.  I could put a walmart jr tent on the trailer and be comfy.

For this trip, since the school was eight weeks, I decided to take my crappy mountain bike to ride some in Uwharrie and mostly in Quantico.  I had the bike standing on top of the trailer strapped down.  Looked pretty odd that a cheap walmart mountain bike would be done this way and I'm betting it looked odder rolling up I85 and I95.  Shoulda took a happy snap, cause it did look "weird"

Anyway, just picture the stock Jeep pulling that little trailer with that blue bike on it.

Here's some mods to the trailer (spring over lift, 155mm propellant canisters on the fenders, 40mm ammo box on the tongue)

Surprised I haven't seen that dog showing up at my house after every ride on the old bike.

A nice feature of the R1150R(x) tranie was that the end of the throws produced a yielding shift lever so you knew when you were in 1st & 6th just by feel.
