elkroeger
This "stunt bike" seems a little unusual. I dunno, maybe they're not, but I've never come across one. Gotta keep this away from my wife. She wants to learn how to do a wheelie and stoppie. I told her she's just gonna crash and ruin her bike. http://honolulu.craigslist.org/big/mcy/4990502925.html Also a 94 R100 GS. It has been sitting in a storage unit ever since. when I parked it it ran great. Im sure it would run if it had a battery. The motor only has 11k miles on it. I'm selling it for parts because I don't have the title. text me if interested. it has a corbitt seat which is worth more than im asking for the bike. $400 Link to comment

szurszewski
I can't believe someone hasn't purchased it already - buy a wrecked one - just the bitty bit of the frame with the tag - and you've got a bike. I probably wouldn't because I'd worry it had been stolen, but that can usually be checked by running the VIN at the DMV, and some people wouldn't share that worry for a $400 bet. So, why is it still up? Link to comment
Drakas
I know. This is an hour in the other direction. $1900 and I'd have a good F and a parts bike.Or if the lost title worked out, I'd have two of the SOB's. http://nashville.craigslist.org/mcy/5029956588.html I ran over something yesterday and ruined two tires on my truck, and my boy is home sick from school today with me today or I might be on the road. Coinneach
Have to wait two years in Wasington. GT Dang, the last bike I had with title issues (in Colorado Springs), I just took it to a state patrol/VIN verification station. They looked at the bill of sale, ran the VIN, called it good and generated a temp title for me on the spot with the permanent arriving in the mail two weeks later. And that was some 10 years ago. TripleThreat
In Indiana, the last registered owner has to be the one who applies for the lost title. Rules probably vary by state... Link to comment

EffBee
Just changing the title of the thread back to original. Otherwise, let's say someone replies to a post that says Bultaco, and wants to share a link to a Norton, the main page is going to display that there's a reply to something about a Bultaco, not the "Craigslist Find of the Day." It's a software glitch, which is why it's important that we don't change thread titles. Link to comment

I think is more that it is a low production and unfamilar BMW. Someone looking for that style at that age and miles would have dozens of Goldwings from which to select. Goldwings are a well known bike with a great reputation and a huge dealer and online network. I would venture to say very few people have had any exposure to the LT. Link to comment
mneblett
Having owned a few LT's I'd guess that it is simply a matter of it being an old K-bike -- 14 years old and LTs historically having a medium-to-low resale value to me says $3500 is the right ballpark. FWIW, 2001 was one of the best years -- if this bike was well-maintained, it would be an excellent luxo-touring mount. Link to comment
