Twisties
The men have important bidness to attend to. The ladies sometimes have something to bellow about. If my mouth was that full of sand, I might be bellowing too. Molting sure doesn't look like much fun. Nothing like a nap after all that important bidness. (Yeah, this one was on the board before) Naps work when you are all done bellowing too. Edited August 3, 2010 by Twisties Link to comment

Bud
Went to Ouray last week and had a great time. Here are a few shots. Our trusty steed Buttercup in Yankee Boy Basin. Switchbacks were kind of tight Not the top of the world but still pretty high In the top center of this picture, far off in the distance, you can see Engineer Pass road, which we had traveled to get to this picture taking spot. johnlt
On our Continental Divide last summer, we rode up a river valley in southern Colorado and noted that it looked like a great place to fly fish. It was the Conelas River just NW of Antonito. I went back there last week and found the fishing teriffic. Check out my 21" 5 pound rainbow: Link to comment

Twisties
Faked the sky. I haven't ever done that before. Please don't do it again. Probably won't. Didn't feel right. But I sure like the fore and mid-ground here. Here is the original, if anyone wants to see it, and one other I didn't show because of the sky. It was what you see here. Uniform gray, and photographically washed out. These shots are with a polarizing filter, and neither are facing the sun, not that that would have made any difference at all as you could not see the sun. To me these skies just ruin the shots, but maybe others will see them differently. This kind of light produces well saturated colors in the landscape, but incredibly uninteresting skies.
