Pics taken on Monday

How I spend every other Monday.

Oldest daughter and son in law were able to flex their work schedules so they don't need child care for my first grandchild, other than every other Monday.......Enter granddad.

Bug (I call her that because her initials are VW), sleeps a lot

My other two wheel passion is bicycles, so, I spend a lot of time pulling her around town and to the beach on one of my bikes.

I am getting darned tired of the snow/crummy weather on the weekends.

On the other hand, I finally managed to get this off of my workbench since I haven't been riding much. The photo really doesn't do the colors justice...

This is a sunrise picture I took off the back of my boat one morning. I was heading off to work, and as I stepped out of the pilothouse, I saw this. The sunrise was lighting up the hills of Point Loma like gold bullion.

It lasted about a minute. I had time to run back down stairs, grab my camera and take this picture. When I put my camera away and went back out on deck, everything looked normal again, the sun was no longer reflecting off of the houses.

My mid winter ride down the beach Saturday morning. Turned around just short of Crescent City, California. 450 miles for the day, only a little rain.

Coming down Palomar Mountain's South Grade last weekend (Valentine's Day) on the Tuono. If I had known there was a photographer there I would have done something more colorful.

Upper body position could better, and my left foot is still out of position from the downshift I just completed, but lane position is good, I'm looking up through the turn, upper body is nice and relaxed, and I'm leading the corner with my inside shoulder. This is just after the exit of the turn comes into view, and you can see I'm already on the loud handle.

Man I love that bike.

1. "What do you mean we're lost?"

2. "No, THIS is how you wash the bottom of your bike!"

3. "Hey, is there a Starbuck's near here?"

4. "I think I should have turned left at Albuquerque."

5. "Can you hear me NOW?"

6. "But my GPS said ......."

7. "Does this make my butt look fat?"

8. "At least it isn't raining."

9. "Crap, I lost a contact."

10. "Alligator? What alligator?!?"

A spare: "Can I borrow some sunscreen?"
