Matts_12GS
At the rate everyone's bowing out, does this mean I'll be alone at my first of these illustrious gatherings? My bike's washed, fuelled and ready to go first thing Wednesday morning. No, but you may hear the same lies more than once He would even if we were there. There'd just be more of them repeated Link to comment

So I had a horrible lie on the 14th hole. I was in a divot about 182 yards out, into the wind, when it began to snow, grabbed my mashie and hit it pin high. Holed the putt. For a snowman... tallman
So, prepacking last night to determine if we can take different kit. All was well, until, an oppossum got in the garage. Nothing small enough to shoot it . Unknown animal so I didn't want to grab it and risk rabies etc. Juvenile sized critter that evaded my broom and lemon amonia persuasion devices hiding and moving amidst boxes shelves, generators, motocycle lift, tool boxes, pressure washer, wet/dry vac, fertlizers, lawn tools, ;mc parts/fluids, motorcycle, filing cabinets, golf clubs and various other items. Put my rodent repeller on audible, loud. Out poked its head with the ears going wildly back and forth. Ah, success I thought. It ducked and dodged then disappeared behind the bicycle corner which had a pop up canopy in the bag blocking me. Escaped into and under... grr. Our old touring bicycles are over there and didn't want to get amonia on them. Tired and frustrated, I thought, smoke. So I started producing smoke to agitate it. No luck. Alrighty, how about carbon monoxide? Cranked the bike and shut the garage door. Waited a while, and started moving. poking around, banging, honking horn, and generally behaving like I was driving a tiger towards the kill zone. No luck. Could it have made it up to the overhead storage? Three hours past bedtime, I didn't care anymore. A man has to know his limitations and this possum had me whipped. Hoping it made a surreptitous exit at some point. We'll see. If we pull into the parking lot with a possum dragging behind us, don't ask. Leaving dark thirty tomorrow. Link to comment

marcopolo
Hats off to Ken and Craig for organizing this event. As several of you now know, this is the first of these that I have attended and I enjoyed myself immensely, so again a big thank you to Ken and Craig for doing this. I'd also be remiss if I didn't mention Bob Smyth (Endobobdds) who invited me to ride down with him from D.C. Once we were in Robbinsville, I spent three days following his licence plate as he showed me mile after mile of riding nirvana. The same was true on the ride back home on Sunday. Thanks, Bob.
