Shawn,

That is one hell of a beautiful pic. Quite a smile your wearing.

Boats are great!

Boats tend to make everyone smile..... Well, not always everyone...

Nice shot, looks like fun! By all outward appearances, you are blissfully unaware that there are children attached to the back of your boat...

Nope, I'm sure that look is because there are children on the back of the boat and not in it!

We have exchange students from Japan for 11 days. A trip to Oregon is not complete without a visit to Crater Lake so on Saturday we loaded them up and off we went. What great kids!! If we had em I'd want two just like these.

Here is a shot looking down on the valley leading up to Mount Patterson California during the Steve Fossett search. The elevation here would be around 10,800 feet. The temperature at search base was around 100F and up here it was around 70F.

Great picture and mood!

If I would follow the tendency of some of the latest threads, I would say wrong glass for the Piper-Heidsieck :) But I say perfect glass, perfect contents, I wish I was there!

Paul......

I just KNEW somebody would notice that cheap-a$$ glass :(...I almost put a disclaimer with the picture.....We took the champagne but not glasses and those were all I could borrow from the hotel......The champagne still tasted fantastic and we drank the whole thing before walking to dinner..........

Took a ride to Takakkaw Falls in Yoho National Park near Field British Columbia. Was an overcast day so I shot tight to try and keep the sky out of the picture. Those little specks of colour are people.

Some vacation pics from my first big cross-country trip, all the way to California and back, in 2000.

The bike as an equipment rack on a dewy morning at Bryce Canyon:

Me eating a banana on the shore of an ice-choked Tioga Lake, on the eastern approach to Yosemite:

3896.jpg

This was late May, and the pass had just opened up not long before we arrived. In fact, I don't think it was open when I had left Michigan.

A rather large millipede, spotted on the short hike from Yosemite Valley to Vernal Falls:

The bike and (ex) girlfriend, posing for a shot near Yosemite Falls:

Springtime, so the meltwater was really raging, making for a spectacular display.

At Bingham Canyon copper mine outside Salt Lake City, next to one of the big-ass tires they use on their monster mining trucks:
