NOTE: As of Feb 8th, the host hotel is SOLD OUT. There are a few rooms scattered around Maggie Valley - however -  another event is in Maggie that weekend, so I encourage you to be resourceful  and search both on-line, and also CALL individual motel/hotels. Calling locations to check on rooms may prove to be successful  - even when online a location shows full.  Also cabins and camping availability at: STONEBRIDGE RV RESORT Phone: 828-926-1904

Well, instead of waiting until the last minute, I'll commit now.  Why?  Because I'll be retired and won't have to contend with work agendas.

Michelle and I are signed up, Wednesday through Sunday.  Went "full fancy" this time and got a room with a Jacuzzi.  Not sure if this allows more or less Bourbon consumption.

When I announced that I was in, I failed miserably to include Laura in that posting.   :ohboy:    After all, she did line up the room for us.  So, when you update your list...........:4315:

Why thank you! I've wanted to do just that for a few years now.

You're not lost until you run out of of gas...

Shouldn't be a problem, I'm installing a peg lowering kit, bar risers, and a taller windshield. That'll definitely slow me down!

WIKI shows that bike to have a top speed of 174.5 MPH.   Are you kidding me??   Dang, that is awesome!

I thought BMW limited speeds on the road bikes.  (still a lot for me to learn about the brand.)  :dontknow:

I thought it was 186... 170 wasn't difficult...

Laney and I had a pair of 2009 models when lawnchairboy (and the rest of the Clampet clan) came to Torrey. The Clampets and Laney and I took a long fast ride in some crappy weather. At the end of the day I gathered that chasing a K bike with an RT is no fun!

I'll be a long way from home this trip, and without the comfort of a truck and trailer. My riding will reflect that, but 2nd gear hits the limiter around 110.

I resemble that remark.  But my fondest memory of being strafed by K bike pilots is that day we met you and Laney on the Fish lake loop, we left ahead of you, made the left headed back for Torrey and I was climbing a hill on the RT, probably about a buck out there in the nothingness but two gleaming fast moving headlights caught my eye in the rear view.  I just moved to the Right and two white UFO's went by me like I was parked.  Loved it.

Bill - You're always welcome to join us, even if not on 2 wheels.:18: You still have a LOT of wisdom, roadcraft and stories to share with me and others from all of your adventures! I'm hopeful we'll see you one way or another this Fall.
