Roadwolf Posted June 8, 2013 Share Posted June 8, 2013 I get why you want a GS... I had one for a year and loved it... best alternative to my RT for wanting a lighter weight bike and no fairing. I am going to get the water cooled version next year to add to the GT. It pretty much is what the reviewers are saying... a revolution and not a evolution. But my 2011 was pretty sweet too. There isn't anything else in the class that does it for me... the ONLY bike that may come close would be the Triumph Trophy Explorer... all else doesn't compare. The Triumph is built close to the fit and finish of my old GS, and the newer one just sets the bar higher. Two of my riding buddies have gotten the new GS and they are smitten. Link to comment

I am sure it would get old pretty quick if a disgruntled former S10 rider was hanging out on the Yamaha forums spewing venom like you do. They have been the most fun vehicles I've owned, but they have also caused the most headaches. I'm just glad that there is some competition in the game now. That S10 could have easily turned out to be a flaming pile of poo. It's not, and I'm glad. Link to comment

Don't you have double yellow line photo to post and spout....... Trust me, I ain't bitter. I'm well over it and I still consider one of my all time best motorcycles a BMW As Danny has said, it wouldn't be us if we didn't rib each other incessantly. The brand my have brought me here but it's the people that keep me here. I could care less about what you ride. I care about the person. Danny has escorted my wife to the Oregon UN on his RT after her BMW left her stranded (weird) while I couldn't ride due to destroying my ankle. He and I hold a bond that transcends any brand of motorcycle. We have shared laughter and tears. We have put each other up in our homes and made our families endure each other. We would travel to the ends of the Earth to aid one another....and it would ALWAYS go like this; 1. Hey, what's up? 2. I need your help. 3. Are you ok? 4. If yes - Hold that thought, don't move let me take a picture of your stupidity. If no - I'm on my way. PERIOD! Yea, my comedic relief has run its course. OK. Off line Danny and I have written novels helping each other, consoling each other, just checking in, etc. On line, he won't get much more than the first period of the first sentence before he gets my grief.
