Kinsley
I finally got the photos up. Here's the "other GS" Rightspin brought along, now the El Paseo mascot Hunters and gatherers preparing for fire and meat. Bellies full and light headed from BigT's "water", the tall tales begin. I never thought of covering my GS, but if I did, this would be the way to do it. Link to comment
Tasker
- where the help was Tasker Indeed! Sadly, circumstances kept me away this fall. Trust me, it killed me not to be there! Looks like I missed a lot of fun! Hopefully, I'll see all of you in the spring! Link to comment

DaveCinNO
Made it back to NO this morning--took a side trip down to Pensacola to spend an evening with my brother at his Katrina evacuation center. That ride was great, but the ride this morning along I-10 was a bear-rain and a serious cross wind all the way. Still it was a great weekend. Many thanks to Mark and Christine and all others who contributed for their effort-it was perfect! Dave Link to comment

gamecock
Officially in at 2:30 Sunday. Thanks to Mark and Christine for all the work putting this together. Another great EP. Thursday night, Randy and I slabbed from the ATL to Gastonia and caught a hotel with Bob Foley. Friday the three of us rode up 321 to Hickory to visit Draggin Jeans. Well stocked up, we headed to Blowing Rock to catch the BRP toward Cherokee. On the way we rode to the top of Mt. Mitchell, the highest point east of the Mississippi. What a view! A whole day of beautiful vistas as the air was just cracking cool and clear. After lunch we made it as far as Waynesville before realizing it was going to be dark before we could cross the Cherohala. We stopped for directions at a Harley dealership. Pulling out behind Randy and Bob, I did a rolling left turn right in front of a car and proceeded to grab too much brake. Bike tips over and my garage queen Triumph is truly broken in! Thanks to a tech at the Harley dealer who repaired my left peg so I could finish the weekend. Next time you see me, the Triumph will be good as new for an '02. Made it into Athens at 11:00M Friday night stiff from the cold but otherwise in good shape. Sorry I missed the brats! Saturday Randy and I explored the Cumberland plateau including Falls Creek Falls State Park. I am already looking forward to Dillsboro. Lets do another fire. Great idea that prolonged the socializing. Link to comment
Spike
Great pictures. Wish I could have made it, maybe next year. Looks like lots of people attended. Did the witch strike again? Link to comment
steve.foote
Did the witch strike again? Not this time, John. The identity of the Blairsville Witch remains a mystery. But, some not-so-stealthy pranksters did get caught red-handed defiling my trailer. Link to comment

Glad this was not as severe as your last incident , and you were able to continue your weekend Don't have to reminde me about "breaking in" a Triumph, my Tiger did a Peter Pan off my Trailer and did $4600 in damages. But it looks better than when I bought it Link to comment
Spike
...The identity of the Blairsville Witch remains a mystery... au contraire .... The witch was already featured in some of the above shown photos. He only wished to remain low key. I will oust him at an upcomming EP, only after I have had my fun though. He messed with the wrong dude last year Link to comment
StretchMark
No Tasker...No Spike...No Witch... Hmmmmmm....we could be closing in on this rascal. He messed with the wrong dude Could he really be messing with himself??? Thus the "masturbating" bumper sticker. It's all starting to add up. A very clever decoy indeed Link to comment

But it looks better than when I bought it Dan, so true. I seem to have problems with the low speed stuff! I have been riding for twenty years and have not kept the rubber side down 4 times. Three of those were in parking lots. The other was the mentioned Hayabusa lowside. I can run the mountains at high speed but watch out when I pull out of the lot! Link to comment
HoonTang
Thanks to all that made the trip! For those that couldn't make it, please try harder next time, we missed you! We were surprised to see so many folks arriving on Thursday, too! Mark, Sean, Ken, Todd Mike, Ted, and Marty A HUGE thanks to “Team RightSpin” for both picking up and dropping off “the weekend goods”! I hear they're good for making political statments, too! Steve 1 and Steve 2 Sylvia and Marty Steve, giving his best “dragon” face They may be discussing Alpaca robes and Bearskins here! We welcomed Tom, first-time El Paseo-goer, as the Fire King! He starts them, keeps them burning and puts them out! All of our brats, buns, and campfires were well tended, thanks to him! Don’t know whose this is, but it showed up at El Paseo!(Blurry, but maybe that’s just as well ) Kenny and David Andy and Randy-better late than never! They don’t look like they came from the beach, do they?! EB and Steve Saturday’s BBQ catered by Buddy’s HGTV recommends having a focal point in every room and we did what we could The 3rd generation “Steve Foote” (unable to join us because of his military duties) is about to receive a call from his Dad to hear a GIANT GROUP “Hello”. Oh, what a proud DAD this man is! An El Paseo nightcap was enjoyed by many! On the go shots-during a two-up ride with Mark (the one who never stops no matter how pretty the scenery is!) Look closely at this load!! SCARY! Awe, what a cute fish face Back on the road again Cherohala here we come! Brrrrr! I tagged along with Kenny and the gang (while Mark went to replace the tire we lost on the Cherohala the day before ) Overlook Fall Creek Falls State Park View from Underneath the Swinging Bridge The planning man himself, Mark, finally worn down at the end See everyone next time! P.S. To those worrying about fire pits being moved, I hear the next location has them built-in Link to comment

Actually, Bill, I have identical trailers and bikes stashed all around the country. I simply fly to one of them when I have the urge and, viola, I'm there. Most of them, however, don't have Hillary stickers on them. Link to comment

I have it on very good authority that the witch was actually in attendance last weekend but since everyone was on close watch for his/her appearance, the element of surprise (and shock) was lost. Knowing the witch as I do, I'm sure there will be future surprises... Link to comment

steveknapp
Hey, that was the worst run I've ever had through the gap. So cut Jake slack. Cars stopping, waiting for the vehicles ahead to get down the road, then flooring it and crossing the center line at will...I was going around each corner asking myself: - Is this where Drew crashed? - Am I going to find a new M6 and a dead biker around this one? StretchMark
Teaser: I'll start a separate planning thread once I get the hotel contract squared away, but go ahead and mark your calendars: El Paseo Spring 2007 April 12-15 in Dillsboro, NC. Please don't call the hotel until I post it in ride planning. The hotel is a little more expensive, but it's brand new and I think you might find a curvy road or two nearby Link to comment

StretchMark
$89 is the best they would do, and actually the best I found anywhere nearby. Even 6 months in advance it's dificult to find a place that will hold 50 rooms for you. Not sure if it's the casinos driving up the prices or what, but it sure is getting expensive up there. I'll start working on Pisgah Inn for the fall and see what they can do for us. Link to comment
