Thinking of you guys this morning - came down here at 6:15 (down here being the lobby at Canaan Valley) For you UnRally attenders - early risers make note of this - complimentary coffee in the lobby (with great views) is ONLY from 5-7am! And ya! they're going to need a bigger pot (I'm going to warn them)!! After 7, the restaurant is open, so you can buy coffee there, OR use the coffee maker (AKA put the Kettle on @wbw6cos @wbw6cos2 )in your room.

 

The lobby is very large and comfortable - both inside and outside seating. Nice place to start your day if you're up and about like you guys are.

Thanks, Indy Dave, but I doubt they want me staggering around blindly in the lobby in my skivvies first thing in the morning looking for that little micro pot.  Best brew my own in the room for everyone's sake.  Already have my Mr. Coffee packed anyway.  Can't take any chances!!

Regarding the tiny pot of coffee at Canaan Valley.....I was wondering if it was enough for Terry and Tim.  Glad to know there might be more coffee between 5-7am, but I'm bringing my 1-cup mini French press, just to make sure.

@Lowndesi I managed to pull a hat on so I didn't scare the natives.

 

They also have a mini Starbucks of the lobby.

Hi Indy Dave,

"Put the Kettle on" put a big smile on my face.

A British staple for sure.

It looks lovely there.  I'm glad William is getting to go,

along with Lowndes, to the Unrally.

Hopefully one day I'll get to see it.
