A Stellar Ride Up Mt Wilson

Late last year Patti and I set out to visit the Mount Wilson Observatory. We made it up the Angeles Crest Highway but crashed on the road up to the observatory. So some months late now we tried again...and this time made it.

We got there in time for one of the free summer guided tours and the experience was so rich it is impossible to describe here but thought I would share a few pix.

From the top of Mt Wilson Los Angeles recieives all its broadcasting...this has nothing to do with the observatory...but these are some damn impressive antenna farms.
