1fastjunebug Posted May 13, 2006 Share Posted May 13, 2006 Was in the local BMW shop today and noticed a 1200GS with the cylinders pulled off and the pistons hanging out. Asked the tech. what happened and he said it had seized! Tech said it was not the oil or oil level but really didn't know what did it. But you should have seen the pistons and cylinders! Not a pretty site! He did say that it was covered under warranty. Since I'm seriously considering adding an 06 GS to the stable, whated to ask the forum if anyone has heard of similar problems, or actually seen similar issues on the 1200GS's or is this an isolated case??? This is all the information that I have on what might have as the tech was pretty hush-hush. Link to comment
