ZTechnik exhaust repacking 1150gs

I bought a 2004 1150gs with this complete exhaust. I’ve had it a year and it has got so loud I hate riding it. How do I repack muffler. It appears completely sealed.

If the end caps are riveted on you will probably have to drill the pop rivets out of the rear, remove the rear cap,  re-pack, then re-pop rivet (use like rivets to the originals) probably non-rusting, so either stainless steel or aluminum). Just match the originals.

 

My suggestion is to call ZTechnik 1-708-343-0400 & ask them how to do it (or ask them to send, or E-Mail  you  the repacking information sheet)-- Might even find that information by searching on-line for your particular  ZTechnik BMW exhaust system.
