Werner Karl
Have any members of the list ever installed an electric hand shifter, such as a Pingel shifter, on a K1200LT? From eyeballing the shape of the fairing, engine etc. it seems to be difficult to get the necessary clearance to install the electric actuator. I would greatly appreciate any feedback from the list membership. Thank you. Link to comment
szurszewski
I’ve not mounted anything like that but I have “rebuilt” a shifter linkage on an LT and I also happen to have one in the garage with all the panels off... So if you need any measurements or pics of parts, they’d be easy to get. Link to comment
Werner Karl
Thank you for the offer but the LT (Hannigan triked) belongs to us, so I've already had everything apart. The person we bought is for is physically unable to use a foot shifter. It was our hope that we could convert it to a hand operated electric. 1 Link to comment
