ESokoloff
Three years ago I made the mistake of taking the cheep route when choosing a set of running lights for my Zero motorcycle. I went with a set of ADVMonster F11’s and I had quality & customer service issues from the get go. Last week I noticed on of the lights is out. Took it apart & it’s fried Im done with ADV & can’t stress it enough that this is a company to avoid. Im looking at the D2's because of the size (2”) & wattage (10) as well as availability of a yellow lenses (which is important to me for conspicuousness). Build quality appears to be good & Im liking the idea that you can dim them for (perceived) longevity. Any suggestions on any other product out there that meets my criteria? (Wattage must not exceed 20 combined as dc/dc power supply is limited & size is limited to 2.25” max diameter/width). tia Link to comment
Dave_in_TX
IIRC, the Clearwater Darlas also meet your needs. Link to comment
ESokoloff
Nope...... “we have packed over 2000 lumens into each light while utilizing only 24 watts.” l’m afraid of over driving the dc/dc power supply as it is (20w), so I’m limiting my selection to 20w but thanks for the response. RTinNC
Had a set of D2’s on my 2012 GSA for 6 years and loved them. Built like a tank. I have Clearwater Darlas on my RT and like them a lot but from my experience the D2’s are just as good a product and would not hesitate buying either again. Link to comment
ESokoloff
If I can’t find a comparable product, D2's it is. Is there any other offering out on the market that I’m missing? (+-2”O.D. 10W each Selective Yellow Built like a Tank) Link to comment
Dave_in_TX
If you don't need dimming you might check out Ridge Industries. I've heard good things about them. Link to comment
RTinNC
I have also seen guys running Baja Designs but honestly it is hard to beat the D2's https://www.bajadesigns.com Link to comment
ESokoloff
So this is turning into a Goldilocks of lights..... Ridge offers Selective Yellow but too much power & size. Baja has the power & size where I need it but only offers white and amber. Denali offers all three. Link to comment
