Hi RPMs in low gear on R1100RT

Hello, I am new to the forum and to riding BMW motorcycles. I brought a used 1997 R1100RT two years ago with 41,000 miles. The bike ran good but I decided to have a local BMW dealer do a A to Z inspection this year. They adjusted the valves, etc... nothing major.

 

But my issues is, after I got the bike back, I start to notice that I have Hi RPMs in low gear and sometimes the bike takes off really slow. I just want to know, is this normal for a BMW R1100RT or is something going bad on it?

 

Any advice is very much appreciated.

Sounds like you may be describing a slipping clutch. If so I don't know how the dealer service could have caused that, unless they did a clutch cable adjustment and messed it up somehow.
