Post editing

Sometime the Edit button shows at the bottom of the post and sometimes not. And I never log out of the site. For example, I can edit this post but none of my others. I'm confused and looking for clarification/help. I'm trying to add new info to a two week old post. Thanks!!

The reason that it sometime shows and sometimes not is that there is a time limit starting from the initial post of  1440 minutes (24 hours).  Within that window edits are allowed, but after then , no.

 

If you need to add additional info , usually creating a new post that contains a partial quote of the original  ( as reference )  and adding the new information should work.
