I recently took a quick jaunt to Springfield IL for the Labor Day short track and mile races.  The Mile II was one of the best races I’ve ever seen period.  I rode up with three good friends. Bikes were my ‘17 RT, an Africa Twin, an F6B, and a newer Street Glide. I took a short stint on them all as it gives you a different seating/handlebar/engine perspective.

F6B was very nice, good windshield and comfort times 10. Africa Twin was very windy (flyscreen only), a somewhat harsh ride, and was too tall for my 5’-11” frame fully loaded. Street Glide was what it is. My brother was a BIG HD fan and I’ve ridden many different models

All of that to say this: I have ridden BMW for over 16 years now and there is no better bike for chewing up miles than the boxer. I bought my first RT on a whim when a local dealer (now closed) opened for business. In hindsight I nailed it. I’m preaching to the choir but after owning over 30 different bikes from many different manufacturers I am sold.

Very nice bike but the bags are narrowed to look more like a bagger. They won’t hold a full face helmet. Otherwise worthy
