dan cata Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Hi all, An R850R owner visited me last weekend and shared some, I think, valuable info. The bike's handlebar buttons wiring was shot and he managed to fix it, by un-soldering all the buttons and putting some UV resistant tubing over them. In the process, he changed all the switches with these: https://ro.farnell.com/c-k-components/k12c12-5n/switch-1mm-travel-2-5n-ip67-seal/dp/1908196 *you will have to re-use the white socket for the switches, un-glue the old ones from there using contact cleaner and swap in the new ones. They do look better than the OEM's, the rubber seal that goes all over them seems better than the one on the switches that has a hole in the middle for the water to get in This is the outer tubing - https://www.tme.eu/ro/details/pvc125-12-bk-10/mansoane-electroizolante/sigi/ Basically, you need it made out of PVC, 10mm inner diameter, UV resistant. This looks like a job you can do over the winter Dan.
