Don't Want to View World Wide Motorcycle News

Is there a simple way to not view items from the World Wide Motorcycle News forum when I click on Unread Content?  I currently have Status Updates, Topics, Events, Products and Files selected under Content Types.

Yes, you can restrict to specific forums or in your case exclude specific forums ....see below. click the "gear" with down triangle next to Topics and select all but World Wide Motorcycle News

If the only forum I want to omit is World Wide Motorcycle News, it looks like I have to check everything else, correct?

Yes, and that also means you should check  the other manor catagories like blog entries, albums files etc that you want
