Well then, if you remembered the announcement would you mind sharing the location?

Oh, Bud was being serious.  I thought it would have been on the board already, you know, to make it official-like.

Ellijay, GA, as I recall.

So.... a funny thing happened on the way off the BRP onto NC18.  The white car rear ended the Tahoe that had a dirtbike on the back.  Needless to say, the dirt bike was so happy to finally make human contact again, due its extreme loneliness that it burst into flames in gratitude.

No one was hurt.  That was about a 45 minutes of my day just getting that scene under control before the FD arrived and id what they do best.  Put wet stuff on hot stuff.

Big thanks to Ken and Dave first class as always!  We enjoyed seeing everyone one and the riding was great.

Somewhere in Tennessee or Virginia or on the border!

The second was from today on the Cherohala

Hey guys that I rode with on the Abingdon route (Chris, Joel, Lowndes, etc) along the way we passed a camera guy set up on a curve and I forgot their web site.  Does anybody know where that was?  I want to see if I can find my photo.   It may take me a while to look up my track on the GPS, which will wait until after I get home.  Thanks in advance.

Found it!!

Awesome!  Thanks.  I had found the website and did not remember the time frame so I looked through all the photos for that day and did not see a Mars Red RT.  They must of added some more after I looked, or I looked in the wrong place.

Oh, if anyone needs any then let me know.  I can do an autograph session at FART.

Thank you Ken.  I remembered the "C" part of the website and thanks to google, I found it.  Too bad mine is not one of the ones for that day.  I guess I should have been dragging my knee.  Oh well.

William, I found your pictures and all of our group. Look at the pics from 11AM to 12 on Saturday 4/27/19.

I shot at least 2 photos of everyone and I generally choose the best to post, but with Bernie it takes 2 photos to make 1 good one :)

I'm trying to get Bob to open up a little...he's so reserved, just standing around waiting to talk to someone. :)

It's called the 1927 Lake Lure Resort and Spa.  Not as fancy as the name suggests but was a nice place and an even nicer surprise was at the very nice bar they had $3 bottled beers and a great half pound burger for $10!  Sweet!    Lake Lure is about 25 miles east of Hendersonville and about 20 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway.

From the Abingdon ride along 421 The Snake.  Thanks to all who assisted me in finding the photographer.

Also, does anyone from that group ride know the spot where we stopped for a few minutes at that place where "this is the first time we ever stopped during one of our rides?"  It was at the top of the hill, just after one of the riders passed that slow hay roll truck.  Agian, thanks.  I am still try to soak it all in; the ride was great and a blur to me.  HA

You must reinforce the bottom of that container or, after additional turns and scrapes, the contents will spill out all over the road harming the indigenous wildlife.  You don't want the local park rangers searching you down.

I am sure it is not legal to import moonshine into North Carolina.

Speaking of Bernie - Here's a clip from the Cherohala Skyway. Bernie does a nice job of demonstrating Ride SMART, notice the upper body lean (Kiss The Mirrors), yet keeping his head level with the road. By way of contrast (and for demonstration purposes only :ohboy:  COUGH COUGH COUGH), the rider following Bernie isn't Riding SMART.

@wbw6cos you may enjoy the music mix.

To prevent future dragging, use your grinder to make that bevel bigger, then you won't scrape the next time! :3:

I enjoyed the video, Dave, and Bernie's a great rider for sure.  But, who's that brilliant rider who's often captured in your RH mirror?
