Sonor Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 I have been told that regardless of the mileage per year, it is advisable to change the break fluid yearly. Thoughts?

Morning Sonor Great policy, especially if your bike has rubber brake hoses. BMW (service bulletin) now says every 2 years with stahlflex brake hoses & annually with rubber brake hoses. Control circuits are still at 4 years but might as well do them all as you are already there.
lkraus Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 BMW's schedule for the servo brakes is every two years for the wheel circuits, every four for the ABS control circuits. I do them all every two years just because I've already taken off the Tupperware and tank, so a few extra minutes to flush the control circuits is trivial. The old fluid is only slightly darker than the new, so I do not see a need to go to an annual schedule, but it would not hurt anything. Might be worthwhile if my bike was stored outside, or in a more humid climate.
