Spokane2303
I just recently purchased a 2004 R1150RT with only 8200 miles on it. It came with 100% documentation from original owner and a full $1,300 service by a well known BMW Specialist in our area. The ABS system was purged, the fluids all changed, valves adjusted and even the alternator belt was proactively replaced because of its age. New tires, battery, spark plugs and air filter to boot! So, my question is, should I replace the fuel lines and connectors as preventative maintenance? I'm thinking I'm good this coming riding season; however, over the next winter I'll adjust the valves, change the fluids and THE FUEL FILTER, CONNECTOR AND FUEL LINES are my question? Thanks! Love the bike! My first BMW. 50+ years of riding under my butt, just never had a BMW before. This is most likely my last 2 wheel motorcycle as I'll age out in the next few years. All is not lost though. I'm taking a 3 wheeler safety class in April to have the option of eventually getting a bike like thing that comes with a reverse. Can-ams are also sold by me local BMW dealer. The Spyder and Rykers look like fun at my age! Link to comment

Afternoon Spokane2303 You should probably put that in-tank hose replacement someplace on your short term to-do list. There is a fair chance that you WILL replace those hoses at some point, question is: will you do them BEFORE they leave you stranded on the road, or AFTER you become stranded on the road. Spokane2303
Fuel line connectors, external and internal fuel lines, vent hoses and filter? Once I take everything apart, it seems I should just most likely do it all? Am I missing anything? Beemer Bone yard for parts or? Link to comment

Afternoon Spokane2303 External fuel lines are usually not a big problem as they don't operate submerged in fuel. BB is about as good as any but on the internal vent & water drain hoses those are special (5mm) & about the only place available is the dealer (just sit down & take a deep breath before you ask the price) Link to comment
Andre1150
Internal tank fuel line is expensive. When mine split on a long drive miles from home I decided to convert to steel lines inside the tank and move my fuel filter outside the body. Wasn't a complicated mod, but has saved me trouble on longer rides. (plus, it's fun to check the fuel with a glass sight at the filter) Link to comment
Claudio
Spokane, In case you missed the other thread on this topic, Euromotoelectrics has a decent price on the internal tank vent lines. https://www.euromotoelectrics.com/product-p/fp-hose040.htm I've ordered from them many times and have been very happy with their products. 1 Link to comment
