taters
i stopped for a soda in the desert yesterday and ended up talking to a guy on a gold wing. he said he rode bmw's all his life but decided to go with a honda this time. he said that i should get about 100,000 miles on my bike before i have to do major repairs. i bought an 04 rt brand new 16 months ago. i have put 26,000 miles on it so far. it is my first bike ever so i would like anyone's opinion on this. does this guy know what he is talking about or was he just blowing smoke. thanks in advance Link to comment
Bob Palin
There's no way to tell and no point worrying about it, nothing to do except maintain it well. Some people here have reported major failures early, some around 100k and many haven't had any problems at all. Link to comment
Boffin
If your splines and rear drive hold out, you should be able to double that. The engine and box are built like the proverbial brick outhouse. I just wish the paint was as good Andy Link to comment
