mrzoom
I took advantage of the last 70 degree day Saturday and made a trip over to Bentonville BMW. I left Tulsa early with temps in the low 30's but 2 hrs later it was already 50+ and climbing. Heated gear. No vind either which is unusual here. I had my "sevice light" reset, NC ,and drank free coffee. Noticed the Oklahoma State Troopers RT was in for service. I guess they don't care for the dealers in Oklahoma either. They had a new 1250GS Shift Cam on the floor and are expecting the RT's this week. Amazing engineering. Trip back was a delightful 70 but the vind had started to increase. Got home and made some leaf laps with the lawnmower. Sunday, ugh, 40 mph vinds and temps fell all day to a balmy 27 this morning. All the leaves from Kansas have arrived into my yard. Time to start planing for START. 1 Link to comment
Endobob
Time to start planing for START. Nice ride report! To cold and to much rain here in DC for riding. I too am having fun planing for START and the UN events! Link to comment

TEWKS
Sorry no pictures I'm out of flash powder. It's probably a good thing anyway, heard that stuff can be pretty dangerous bouncing around the inside of a saddlebag. Blue frame, huh, haven't seen that yet except on last year's adventure model... mrzoom
Maybe blue. I can't remember, where was that at?? All I know is it was way too tall for me to sit on so I had to decline the test ride offer. I'm sure I'd fall in love with the motor. I'll just keep telling myself that my 2013RT is all I need . DaveCinNO
Nice ride report, Rich. You get the “most concise ride report” award. Sounds like a nice day. I'm also stying away from test rides as I have no will power, but that GS in Pats video was sure a good looking bike. Keep telling myself just say no...just say no. Link to comment
mrzoom
I'll keep this one until I can't keep up with the mini vans!! I forgot to mention that on the way back to Tulsa I got passed by a Toyota mini that was running 95+ . 20 over the 75 suggested limit on Rt. 412 a non limited 4 lane across OK. Since I already have one "award" this year I just let mom run the front door for me. Link to comment
Rougarou
26* on the hour commute to work this morning, but hey, it'll be warm next week 50-60s and rainy,......I guess I might have to change my slicks for the new tires setting in the garage so I don't slide so much in the wet stuff. mrzoom
CORRECTION...I visited Bentonville's web site, The GS has white frame parts, black frame parts, gold wheels and mostly white panels. Link to comment

mrzoom
Since moving to this state I have noticed 2 kinds of drivers. Way slow and way over the suggested limit. I'll follow the way over and let them find the LEO's. Coming home from the UN out in western OK I started to follow a late model Vette. He definitely had the top end speed over me but we just zoomed along at triple digits. I could hear his exhaust when he got on it and would rapidly disappear ahead only to slow down a few miles later. Coming over a slight rise in the road he suddenly braked hard and I followed his lead Sure enough there was a County LEO hidden in a pull off area. We both had detectors. This was out in the middle of no where! We blasted back and forth down the highway until I ran low on fuel. Pulled up to him in a small town, thumbs up and it was returned. Fun time. I'll zoom when I want to. Link to comment

tallman
Rich, BTDT. Got passed by one of the dial a ride support vans in the mountains. It had a handicap license tag and a customer who looked a bit sheeeeepish as the driver zipped along. It was 4 lane, 55mph. I was at 64. This was back NC trooper were driving side by side at 55 on the slabs. They were writing tickets for a leetle over. At least that was my rationalization. Link to comment
Whip
Sounds like a good ride. Hope to see you in the spring time. Link to comment

I guess they are going to set this exclusive up with the black adventure cases, engine guards and possibly extra lights like the one in this vid. All of which I'd add to the bike anyway. TEWKS
Well it's not quite a triple black 2019 GSA but, a little edit work and you get the idea. I called BMW NA and told them what I wanted. A 2019 R 1250 GSA in Triple Black...They laughed at me...I asked them if they knew who I was...They laughed some more...They then said if Marty Hill would call us, we would probably make that happen. TEWKS
For that kind of money surely the BMW Whale Foreskin Suit must be included. Max said they were going to do a color swap on the GSA for a customer but I forget the specifics at the moment. I do recall $800 bucks. I asked if the 2018 TB plastic would fit a 2019. No answer on that yet. Pat Link to comment
