Sidi Boot Resole

Recommended Posts

I have a decent pair of Sidi "On Road" boots that need to be resoled. Not worn through, but pretty smooth on the bottoms. Thinking that I might give it a go at doing it myself. Can always take it to a shoe repair if I mess it up.

I think the new sole just gets glued on then trimmed. Does anyone have a good How To on resoling motorcycle boots? Thanks, Dave

I believe you have to sand off the remnants of the old sole with a nice big belt sander, and then basically clamp down the shoe/sole when gluing - much like gluing wood together. The problem is finding some rigid device that resembles your foot, so you can get a good tight clamp on the new sole. Or just send them to Dave Page. :-)
