RecentConvert
My 2014 RT has from time to time, blown blue smoke on a cold start. Perhaps once in 30 starts. Lately, it is happening more frequently, like one in 5 cold starts. Bad valve seals? It doesn't use any oil and doesn't smoke after startup. Anyone else having this? Link to comment
Rider1200RT
Leaving the bike on the side stand for a long time will make the bike blow some smoke from time to time. So for long term parking I always use the center stand. YMMV Link to comment
Ralphie
I've had a good amount of time with five different wet heads. The longer they are parked, the more likely it tended to do this. More likely if parked on the side stand but did/does happen on the center stand from time to time as well. Link to comment
Tri750
Also has a direct connection to how many people are present. 1-3 people standing around, very little chance. 4-10 very good chance . Link to comment
realshelby
There may be another way to look at this..... Since I have always thought the Wethead sounded a bit like an old Radial aircraft engine when cranking up one should expect a bit of smoke from the exhaust! I just need a leather helmet and glass goggles! Link to comment
