Joe Frickin' Friday
Holy crap. Summary: It's an enduro race, but it takes place on the streets (well, sidewalks) of Lagares, Portugal. Video is helmet cam on one of the competitors. After scooting over a series of manmade obstacles on the waterfront, they delve into the back alleys of the city; it's insanely tight quarters, with lampposts and railings practically reaching out to hook your handlebar and introduce you face-first to a brick wall. If you don't ride at ten tenths, you ain't gonna win - but it's gonna hurt if you try to go to eleven. Link to comment
realshelby
My Mommy always told me not to go over logs and stuff at an angle. I see what I have been missing listening to her! Long live two strokes for precision riding. Link to comment
greiffster
Red Bull will try anything. Crazy. You think FVR will let us set up a course in the parking lot? Link to comment
Glenn Reed
Well that was fun... The spectators watching from barely recessed doorways were almost as crazy as the riders! Link to comment

I swear I saw a homeless guy sleeping in a doorway. You think FVR will let us set up a course in the parking lot? With RT's? We'll scale it back. Maybe jump some garden hoses. Link to comment

Bill_Walker
Dang! I don't think I'd even try to paddle-walk a bike through some of those gaps! YouTube has a whole bunch of videos of Jonny Walker doing this kind of stuff. Link to comment
lkraus
No room to pass. Get the holeshot and you've won. If you don't crash. Link to comment
Bill R MZ
Wow...a whole new meaning to "urban assault". Those backstreets reminded me of the Favela maps on Modern Warfare II. Bill R Link to comment

The waterfront portion of the course provides some passing opportunities; Walker was able to pass one other guy to reach second place. But yeah, once you're into the alleys, the running order is set in stone, so to speak. Link to comment
