MontanaBud
Maybe it's just that I'm getting older, but I'm finding that, when I'm on my bike, car and truck exhaust fumes often fill my full-face helmet and nearly suffocate me. I was seriously confronted with this when, on a mountain road in Colorado, I was stopped for road construction for nearly twenty minutes. I was surrounded by idling diesel trucks - in front of me, behind me, and on each side of me (those the road construction rigs). But it's not only diesel fumes. Gasoline cars, even newer ones, often emit toxic suffocating exhaust fumes that just seem to want to waft right into my helmet. Sure, open the visor to vent the exhaust fumes, but relief isn't always immediate. Can someone please invent a helmet that acts as a gas mask too? Link to comment
