Once Again its time for our annual "Frosty Nutz" Campout. Its right off route 5 along the CT River in Vermont. Come join us for a great weekend of riding the twisties without the tourists or the snow! We have the whole campground to ourselves, there is a lot of scenic riding, places to eat, breweries to tour and fun to be had around the campfire!

Many of you have been before, its always a great time!

Description:

The 2017 season kicks off with our anual early Spring campout at Wilgus State Park.. Bring a sweater and a hat. The campground is right in the middle of the best twisty mountain roads, about 5 miles from the base of Mt Ascutney. There is a a mix of lean-tos, Connecticut River-facing camp sites, and a few cabins (by lottery) Firewood is available on site, and there is a store and butcher shop nearby. Hot coffee every morning but you MUST bring your own cup. There is a communal fire area, and each site has fire pit with a grill over it. It is one of the better facilities in the Vermont Park System for campfire chefs! We have been doing this event for years now and it is always a mix of weather and always fun. Invite your friends, bring a guitar or harmonica or whatever you have and sing along with us around the fire. This is the perfect time to be in Vermont. There is often still snow on the mountains, but the weather is getting warmer. You can hike the Long Trail, ride to an art gallery, or enjoy some great off road riding. The best roads in Vermont aren't paved. Year after year this is one of the best attended campouts. All bikes and riders will find something to enjoy. Please no loud pipes. While this is spring camping, typically the weather during the day is quite warm. Typical overnight temps get close to, but rarely below freezing, but do be prepared. $25 pp
