Effervescent
I am not good with relays and fuses and extra wiring and such. So I went the easy way and grabbed an LT high tone horn (trumpet shaped and louder) today and simply turned the one mounting allen screw...replaced the lame-o stock horn with the LT...tighten the screw... then bent the entire now mounted horn assembly inward (to clear the tubes, the bracket easily bends btw) and was done in about 2 minutes. It was easy breezy and is significantly louder now. Also, it has kinda an air-horn-like quality to the tone as opposed to the former beep-beep tone. Just though I would pass that along. Part No. 61332305910 (for the high). -Eff Link to comment
Dances_With_Wiener_Dogs
Two questions. How much did the horn cost? Why did you bend it inwards, instead of outwards to point the noise forward? Link to comment
Effervescent
On an 1100S it's very tight in there. Smaller bike, tighter steering geometry. The trumpet part still points forward perfectly. Did I mention it's very tight in there? $50 out the door. I know there's cheaper/louder, I just need plug and play and this fit the bill. -Eff Link to comment
