Froggy
Just ordered a Cee Baily for my new to me 2013RT. Since I cannot stand the way factory shield sends air at my helmet, I thought I might modify it for summer use. Has anyone tried cutting it down and putting a reverse curve in it...if so, how? John Ranalletta
I've not cut a factory wind screen but I did shorten an Aeroflow successfully. First, apply painter's or masking tape to cover the line and an inch or so on both sides of the line. Trace the cut line with a pencil or marker. Use a compass to scribe the line from the edge of the screen. Use a jig saw with fine, metal-cutting teeth. Slowly cut along the line, making sure the feet of the saw are on the tape, not the screen. When finished with the cut, use progressively finer grades of sand paper down to 1500 to round over and polish the edge. Edited November 12, 2016 by John Ranalletta Link to comment
