ryan_ca1
How do they compare to the OEM pads? Which set did you get? I'm perfectly happy with the OEM pads, but I'm getting close to needing a replacement. Just wondering if I should consider aftermarket for performance / cost benefits. Link to comment
AlanS.
I am using Carbone Lorraine sintered metal brake pads from Beemer Boneyard. XBK5s on the front and RX3 on the rear. Might have a little more grab than the OEMs but not much if any. I have had them on for about 6 months and 6,000 miles and them seem to work well. Alan Link to comment

roadriderg
I just ordered a set of ebc fa209/2v which is their semi-sintered. brake pads. These are the closest to the oem pads. Full sintered fa209/2hh would be rough on the rotors and organic fa209/2 would wear quickly. These pads are not very thick, about 3/16 total pad without plate. Here is a link to their catalog. http://ebcbrakes.com/Assets/ecatalogues/AUG_2016_USA_Motorcycle_Catalogue/USA-MC-August.html#p=84 I will let you guys know after I try them out. Gary Link to comment
ryan_ca1
I ended up picking these from beemer boneyard. http://www.beemerboneyard.com/cl1101sbk5.html They claim to have good stopping power and decent rotor wear, so here's hoping that holds true. I really don't care about pad life that much - replacing pads is easy and cheap compared to rotors. Link to comment
