EBC pads cost a bit over half of the OEM pads. On my R1100RT y liked the EBC HH pads. Strong braking and good feel. On my R1150R with servo ABS I prefer the Kevlar pads. They are softer feeling and give me better control with the servo. Mileage? YMMV...

OEM went at about 20K in front, approx 50K in the rear. EBC now up front are wearing like iron (currently 58K on the bike) and look new, of course I'm not hard on the breaks. Running Galfer green in the rear, I really like the feel of these bads and may go to the green in front after the EBCs are shot. About $65 for the set(s) up front, $35 for the rear from a place in CA. just can't remember the name. I should mention that I needed to re-drill pin holes on the front set of EBCs as they where hanging up and not releasing from the rotor.
