swilson
Hey guys, Just got home with a 2013 RT to replace my 2005 RT. My old RT didn't have the on screen service reminder. How do I reset this? Am I finally going to have to buy a GS911 code reader, or is there a cheaper way? Thanks, Scott Link to comment

swilson
Still hanging out on BMWST I see! Seattle is out of the question. I'm still saddle sore from the 1,500 miles to get this bike home! Link to comment
dirtrider
Morning swilson Basically a GS-911 or dealer computer is needed to re-set the service reminder. Some BMW dealers will do a free reset for good customers (especially if you bought the bike from them) With a GS-911 you can set the service remainder for w-a-y out in the future so it won't come on again for years but the dealer is forced to re-set to next mileage service or 1 year so they can't extend the service time for you. Rogerl
I use my GS-911 to set the service reminders to the next odometer reading for the next oil change. This way the bike will let me know in advance when I am due for an oil change. Roger L Link to comment
