NIM205
A week after the 1000Km service for my 2016 RT, I was back at the dealership because the "radio-operated key out of range" light was on most of the time. They replaced the fob battery (under warranty ) but claimed they could find no malfunction. The problem of course remained - but not always. Finally I noticed that if I place the key and my phone in the same pocket, the fault light turns on. Since then I've done another 3000Km with the phone in the topcase - no problem. Anyone had this issue? Link to comment
selyab
I usually keep my phone in a chest pocket or the tank bag with the key fob around my neck and have never experienced your problem. I have a Samsung S4/Verizon. What kind of phone/provider are you using since I wonder if it is dependent on the particular phone. Link to comment
NIM205
I have an LG V10. The provider is local (Israeli), but it's a regular GSM phone Link to comment
Mike
It doesn't surprise me. I usually park at the same (expensive) parking garage when I drive into Chicago, they go I always pay, the automatic gate always opens without inserting my payment receipt (bar codes). We've had similar anomalies with other devices. Link to comment
