Vibration when idling

New to BMW. Have a 2005 K1200LT I bought recently. After starting, there is a vibration from the front left. Goes away at about 15 mph.

 

Anyone else experienced this?

The fairing, especially the horizontal piece (usually chrome) at knee height is often the problem.

A tab could have been broken off or a screw missing or loose.

You can start the bike and "pinch" the panels together to find the panel that is vibrating.

Using foam tape or even a layer or two duct tape at the seam mating posts can reduce or eliminate the noise.
