Bike setting extended period. Won't run suspect fuel issues. Can the injectors be cleaned on/off bike. Any diagnostic tips. Grips cracked what is the drill to replace?

Define your use of "extended period"... months? Years?

Drain all the gas you can out of the tank. Add half a can of seafoam. Then refill the tank with clean fresh premium gas.

Make sure you have spark...and the kill switch is in the RUN position, and a FULLY charged battery. Some batteries may have enough to crank the engine, but not enough to start the bike. If you attempt to start the bike with a weak battery you make get a dreaded ABS alarm as a result.

Describe what happens AFTER you have done the above. When you attempt to start the bike does it try to start at all but sputters or run poorly, or for a short time? Or not at all?

Let us know the result and we can proceed from there to do some long distance diagnostics.

Fuel pumps hate old grungy gas. If corrosion from the inevitable water condensation doesn't freeze the pump, then the crud left behind by what was once gasoline will waste the high-tolorence parts of the pump.

Drain the tank and clean it.

The fuel pump will come out along with the filer. Clean the hoses leading to and from the pump.

With the sidestand up and the trans in neutral you should hear the fuel pump run for a couple of seconds right after the key is turned on. Listen for a soft hum from inside the tank.

Injectors almost always open, even if they are sticking. Instead, they will close slow,, or not completely, drizzling a little extra gas and causing the bike to run rich.
