Bud
brand new trailer I picked up the previous day. When I tried to stop in stop and go traffic on I75 that the trailer brakes did not appear to be helping stop. I rear ended a minivan. Got home and took the trailer to a local trailer dealer. Here is the statement from the invoice for the work that was done to make them functional. "Brakes inoperative. Repair brakes. Tech found that all 4 brakes had bleeders on bottom of calipers, not top. Tech reversed lines and bleeder screws and completely bled brake system. Brakes work properly at this time." Link to comment
MT Wallet
You can't get air to bleed out the bottom? Who knew. I hope you have better luck with the boat and trailer in 2016. Link to comment
eddd
Tech found that all 4 brakes had bleeders on bottom of calipers, not top. Those were meant for sale in Australia. Link to comment
OoPEZoO
DOH! Man, that sucks. I hate having the feeling that I need to inspect and disassemble every single little stupid thing in my life to make sure some moron didn't have a bad Tuesday at work. Frustrating, to say the least. Link to comment
