fastlarry Posted November 16, 2015 Share Posted November 16, 2015 Putting on the OEM ESA shocks on my R1200RT. Got the back ones switched, no problem at all. To the front- real difficult pulling the plugs on the radio controls under the left side top cover. Can't grip them and squeeze the catches to release them. Old and weak. Any tips out there? MikeB60 Posted November 16, 2015 Share Posted November 16, 2015 I don't fool with them. Ive gotten them off with a small screwdriver but its really not worth the trouble. I just lay a towel on the tank and set the cover on it. I have also just let it hang when I removed the tank to change the shock, no issues. Link to comment
fastlarry Posted November 18, 2015 Author Share Posted November 18, 2015 Well, I figured it out. The radio buttons attach to a sub panel that attaches to the left side top cover. I separated the two and then it was easy to grasp and remove the connectors. Link to comment
