Doug_Baliko
This is copied from the LT board. I just put these bulbs in my Motolights and they work great. 8.5W each and a 15 degree spread vs. 50W each for the halogen bulbs. The yellow filters that I found also work well. I don't see any difference between these and the 50w yellow halogen bulbs. I was searching for a way to make these yellow, as I think the yellow bulbs are much more conspicuous, so I also added these yellow mr16 glass filters that I found. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o00_s00 They slip right in the Motolights glass cover. They work perfectly. Doug Link to comment
The Rocketman
Guess you may have missed this: http://bmwsporttouring.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=85490&Number=944401#Post944401 And they come in amber too. https://www.1000bulbs.com/category/led-mr16-amber-bulbs/ Either way...glad you found what you needed. Doug_Baliko
No I didn't miss that thread. The Cree bulbs are true 580 lumen bulbs that come in three different spread patterns of 15, 25, or 40 degrees. In my opinion the quality and light output are apples and oranges to the ones mentioned in that thread. Thanks. Doug Link to comment
The Rocketman
I'd like to try them to compare. Can you re-post the Amazon link where you got yours as the link doesn't work. Thanks! Link to comment
NickInSac
I just ordered these: For $20, I will try and find or make a good mount for them on my RT. http://www.amazon.com/LotFancy%C2%AE-Off-road-Headlight-Driving-Mounting/dp/B00RB2HKJY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1447786812&sr=8-1&keywords=LotFancy%C2%AE+2x+18W+4+inch+6LED+SUV+Off-road+Boat+Headlight+Flood+Driving+Fog+Light+%2B+Mounting+Bracket+%282X+Flood+Beam+18W+Cree+LED%29 Link to comment
NickInSac
Well, I am sad to say... these are CRAP! If you use these for OFFROAD only, they might be good. I could see these working OK, if they were on TOP of a light bar on a 4x4 or something. The beam pattern for both the "fog" and spotlight that I got are more like a flashlight. This means, if I mount them low, the beam pattern will need to be pointed mostly straight out or down to light the road. The way the pattern goes in a giant circle, the beam will undoubtedly blind oncoming cars. This is not the kind of attention I want when riding. YMMV I will return these and try and find something else. Link to comment
gordiet
Good luck returning them. They are tough to deal with. GT Link to comment

NickInSac
Well, I am sad to say... these are CRAP! *** YMMV I will return these and try and find something else. Are you referring to the Cree bulbs? Not the bulbs. I have CREE lights on my bicycle and LOVE them. In my reply, I talk about how I think these should be used for OFFROAD only. These are NOT DOT approved for driving lights as I want to use them. Nick Link to comment
