foundationapps
Just getting around to taking the shielded cop coil from this RTP. No where mentioned about the negative grounding strap attached to the metal box. Can I just cut and ignore when installing the civilian coil? Link to comment
dirtrider
Afternoon foundationapps Basically, yes, that ground strap is just an RFI outer case ground. Link to comment
foundationapps
Thank you sir. Put 200 miles post HES change, keeping this bike. I have to admit that it's greater than my ego. I apologize for my anti RT rant. Humbly loving this machine. Link to comment
lkchris
It's nice to know our Police get to ride such nice bikes. I think it's often that way with "industrial grade" machinery. Link to comment
tallman
Glad things have improved. They can be both a challenging and rewarding ride. Best wishes. Link to comment
AndyS
... keeping this bike. ... Nice to hear. They are weird. For all their foibles they are addictive. Link to comment
foundationapps
Thanks all... there is a sideways kind of disorder with this stuff... I've taken on "beemerplasticputbackonaphobia". My own term. Bolted the fuel tank back on. Left the side panels and bottom plastic off. Without the ABS and the small amount of weight all this plastic and screws adds, AND with the new stuff I've put on, the bike is nimble again (as much as it can be). Side panels went back on, though held on with zip ties. Link to comment
