KmanR Posted July 13, 2015 Share Posted July 13, 2015 I have a 2005 R1200RT and would like to completely disable the alarm. I have tried to follow the instructions in the owners manual, but no results. The motion sensor is rather annoying. Also, the radio and CD powers up but will not play, radio or CD either one. CD player will not accept CD. I had a 2005 several years ago, but it did not have either alarm or radio package. Any pointers? Link to comment
Caerleon Posted September 14, 2015 Share Posted September 14, 2015 You can remove the alarm if you want by disconnecting it fromthe loom and adding the resistor (from BMW) to plug the end so you dont get any CANBUS errors. As for the radio - depends what you want too do! you can repair or replace or disable by removing from the loom and adding yet another resistor. Link to comment
