foundationapps Posted June 29, 2015 Share Posted June 29, 2015 Hi all, been a while. Busy summer stacking up the miles on my 98 1100RT. Fantastic machine. Came back from South Dakota, turning 80-90 mph nearly the whole way. Anyways... Found a set of touring bags from a 2001 GS1150. Question is, will these retro fit to a 98 1100 RTP? The setup from the pics looks the same, but hard to tell. Thank you. Link to comment
lkchris Posted June 29, 2015 Share Posted June 29, 2015 GS bags are asymmetrical while RT bags are more or less identical (mirror image) on each side (no muffler clearance problem). They will probably fit, however. Link to comment

mneblett Posted June 29, 2015 Share Posted June 29, 2015 Other than the left muffler cut-out, the GS bags will work on the RT-P after you convert to the civilian rear end. My wife's 1150GS bags fit on my civilianized 1150RT-P. Link to comment
