No straps, no magnets, TANK/QUICK LOCK please! Regretfully, not impressed with BMW's rail bag, especially for the money. What bag has actually worked for you, and what was so good about it? Regards! Guest Kakugo Posted June 20, 2015 Share Posted June 20, 2015 I have a FAMSA tank bag, It has a textile base you strap over the rail and just leave there: not a fan of quick lock and I was not going to pay what BMW, Touratech etc want for their bags so this was the cheapest option. I paid 100€ for it including shipping. Last time I checked price had reached 130€. It's great value for money. What's good: the map pochet hasn't yellowed even a tiny bit despite many miles in any weather, the bag's sized just about right not to be a nuisance yet have some useful carrying capacity, very sturdy contruction and I have rarely bothered with rain cover. Is that a mapcase on top? Kinda looks like it, but can't tell for sure and the description doesn't say. Can you describe the mounting system? Is it easy to get at the gas-filler? Link to comment

The map pocket is huge. And it's held on by Velcro so its removeable. I mounted mine to a BMW tank back base so it works the same as the BMW tank bag on the rail system.
