Trobinson
Forgive me if I'm asking a dumb question, but I noticed the pistins have cutouts for the valves. Are they enough to keep the valves from hitting the pistons? Link to comment
dirtrider
Afternoon Tom Depends!-- Obviously they keep the valves from hitting with the cams timed correctly & the engine RPM's under valve float. But they are not deep enough to keep the valves from hitting the pistons if the valves float or the cams go out of time. Link to comment
lkchris
They have timing chains, not belts. Link to comment

mneblett
But they are not deep enough to keep the valves from hitting the pistons if the valves float or the cams go out of time. Which means it is an interference engine. Link to comment
