Haynes
The spec for the rear drive oil for the R1200GS LC is Castrol SAF-XO. I already have bottles of Castrol SAF-XA from the other bikes that I owned. Castrol describes that it is primarily designed for limited-slip differentials but is also suited to non-limited slip and hypoid gear final-drive applications. Given that the viscosity and all other specs are the same, can anyone suggest why Castrol SAF-XA should not be used in place of Castrol SAF-XO? Link to comment
