Jordan Thienel Posted May 22, 2015 Share Posted May 22, 2015 I rode my 2000 R1100RT to work this morning and as I was slowly cruising through the parking lot I heard a grinding coming from the front brakes. I can replicate it when the bike is on the center stand and I spin the wheel, but it seems to happen only in a certain area of the rotor. Any idea what this could be a result of? I haven't had any real abrupt stops lately so I doubt they're warped. The bike has 78,000 miles on it and I have no idea if the rotors were ever replaced. Link to comment
AndyS Posted May 22, 2015 Share Posted May 22, 2015 Have you taken the pads out and inspected them? its a really simple job. They could be near their limit, you could have debris stuck to one of them. Link to comment
